VIVA ACCESS LTD

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS  

Payment Terms
Payment is by Credit Card, Debit Card or Voucher only. 

VAT
All course fees are subject to the VAT rate current at the time of payment.

Trainers 
Viva Access reserves the right to substitute trainers to deliver courses where necessary. In these circumstances delegates should be assured that the learning outcomes, CPD application, accreditation (where applicable), structure and content of the courses will remain unchanged as a result. Viva Access employs trainers indirectly, all of whom have relevant skill, knowledge and experience in their chosen fields to recognised standards and who subscribe to Viva Access written policies and procedures.

Delegates who require assistance
While Viva Access welcomes delegates with disability or impairment, it is not our responsibility to ensure that they are supported during the course. We are happy to arrange support on receiving the appropriate information, but any fees incurred will be added to the course fee. Neither is it Viva Access’s responsibility to ensure that delegates are free from any condition that would affect their capability to undertake their chosen course and that they have the aptitude to cope with the required level of study.

Late arrivals/missed sessions 
Course timings are clearly displayed on the course information. Delegates who arrive late, are absent for any session, or who wish to leave the course earlier than the stated time should appreciate that this will be recorded and that Viva Access cannot be responsible for any knowledge and/or skill insufficiency that may arise as a result.

AMENDMENTS & CANCELLATIONS

If you wish to amend or cancel a course booking, please complete our Course Amendment/Cancellation Form. You can access this at  https://viva-access.co.uk/amend-booking/ 

(notifications by email are not accepted).

Your options, in all circumstances without exception and subject to the time-limitations detailed further below, are as follows – you my: 

  • Transfer your booking to a colleague
  • Transfer your booking to a different date
  • Transfer your booking to a different course
  • Cancel your booking, with full, partial or no refund

CLARIFICATIONS: 

Transfer your booking to a colleague
You can transfer your space, free of charge, up to the start time  the course. You will need to provide us with the name, email address, job title, and mobile phone number of your substitute for us to be able to admit them to the course. Please scroll to next page for an illustrative example.

Transfer your booking to a different date
If you are unable to attend on the specified course date, you can transfer free of charge to a different date providing you notify us via email at least 14 calendar days before the original course date and that spaces are available on the new date at the time of request. Please scroll to next page for an illustrative example. 

Transfer your booking to a different course
If you change your mind about a booking and wish to transfer to a completely different course, you can do this free of charge providing you notify us via email at least 14 calendar days before the original course date and that spaces are available on the new date at the time of request. Please scroll to next page for an illustrative example. 

Cancel your booking:
Please note, non-attendance or partial attendance at a training course to illness or other personal emergency/issue, or for professional issues such as competing work events, laptop malfunction, outage or issues relating to your internet service provider, difficulty accessing Zoom or any other circumstances over which Viva Access Ltd has neither control nor responsibility, will be subject to the cancellation terms listed below:

  • Cancel more than 14 calendar days before the event – 100% refund (or credit to voucher)
  • Cancel 7-14 calendar days before the event – 50% refund (or credit to voucher)
  • Cancel less than 7 calendar days before the event – no refund or credit to voucher

Cancellation by Viva Access Ltd
Viva Access Ltd reserves the right to cancel courses or alter course dates. Should a course be cancelled or if the alternative date is not suitable and payment for that course has already been made, a full refund will be given.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES
(Please note, all dates given below are hypothetical and for illustrative purposes only)

Transferring your booking to a colleague
You register for a course on Ramps but then find you are unable to attend, due to say a competing work commitment, an illness, family emergency or other circumstance outside of your control. You can transfer your space to a colleague at any point, up to an hour before the specified course start time. Simply email us the name, email address, job title and mobile phone number of your substitute so we can admit them to the training room.

Transferring your booking to a different date
You register for a course on Reading Plans which is due to take place on 15 May. You then discover you are unable to attend on that date but see that the course is running again in December. You can transfer to the December date providing you notify us at least 14 calendar days before 15 May (i.e on or before 1 May).

Transferring your booking to a different course
You register for a course on Kitchen Adaptation & Design which is due to take place on 30 April. You change your mind and decide you would like to attend a course on Bathroom Adaptation & Design instead and it is running in July. You can transfer to the July course providing you notify us at least 14 calendar days before the date of the original Kitchen course (i.e on or before 15 April).

VOUCHER REFUNDS

Should a client no longer wish to have a Training Voucher, the remaining credit remaining can, by request, be refunded. Please note, if the remaining credit is less than the cost of a single space on a scheduled course (inclusive of VAT), this will not be refunded – but it can be used towards the purchase of a space on a course.

Now a fully dementia-friendly housing complex in Kent has opened. The council-run sheltered accommodation scheme is the first of its kind in Ashford. The aim of this guide is to provide local authorities and those charged with service planning and provision clear and comprehensive information about the legal position concerning home adaptations and specifically Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG), alongside examples and ideas for service delivery.

It was produced by the Home Adaptations Consortium at the invitation of the Coalition Government in its November 2011 housing strategy “Laying the Foundations: A Housing Strategy for England”. It was published in 2013 by Care and Repair England.
